Johnson is a Bay Area native that grew up on courts throughout Northern California. As the top ranked 10 year old, the USTA invited him to play an exhibition match following Agassi at the Siebel Open; stepping on that court fueled Eric to become Norcal’s top junior for the next several years, followed by a successful collegiate and professional tennis career.
